Gemma Simons – Consultant in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine

Dr Gemma Simons(BMBS BSc FHEA PGCAP MPhil FEBPRM PhD) is a Consultant in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine who works at Salisbury Spinal Injuries Unit and at the South of England Rehabilitation Centre. She works on inpatient units, in outpatient services (including a spasticity service and young adult transition to adulthood service) and in the community. Dr Simons works with patients who have had spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and people who have any neurological diagnosis and would like to work on goals that will make day to day life easier, or better.

Dr Simon is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and European Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr Simons is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Southampton with a research interest in NHS staff wellbeing and patient outcomes. She has just completed a National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Area Research Collaboration study looking at Nurse Wellbeing and started as the Research Lead at the South of England Rehabilitation Centre.
